Joints and Repair
Expansion joints are used to allow for movement as the concrete expands and contracts due to thermal changes. These joints are dynamic and treated with flexible sealant. Contraction or control joints are used to control cracking of the concrete as it cures and shrinks. These joints are static and treated with a rigid sealant. In order for a joint to retain its functionality, it is important to treat each joint with the correct sealant. Let IRS work with you to repair and restore your floor joints to perform as designed.
